Our Wisdom Watch Alliance Summit on Best Practices for Community Cognitive Screening brought together caregivers, clinicians, advocates, and concerned community members for a powerful day of collaboration and clarity.

Summit on Best Practices for Community Cognitive Screening
Together, we engaged in meaningful dialogue and produced a collective statement outlining how our community can address gaps in early cognitive screening at the grassroots level — through a culturally grounded, trust-centered approach that uses the resources we already have. The Summit affirmed that community-based screening must be relational, dignified, and accessible. Participants identified clear priorities, including destigmatizing dementia, normalizing early screening, and ensuring culturally responsive education and preparation for those providing screenings.
